Japanese Honeybee Attractant 3-Piece Set: Attractant 250ml, Beeswax, Honeycomb Debris set250-0004
For those aiming for natural colonization by Japanese honeybees, we offer a 3-piece set including attractant, honeycomb debris, and beeswax. Please take advantage of this offer.
It is said that Japanese honeybees prefer to colonize in previously used hive boxes.
By effectively using the provided materials, you can make a used hive box appear more attractive, potentially increasing the chances of colonization.
These are natural products, so there may be variations in quality. We ask for your understanding before purchasing.
?Attractant 250ml
While called an attractant, this is the liquid remaining after boiling honeycomb debris collected for beeswax extraction.
Apply by painting or spraying inside and outside the waiting box.
It helps mask the scent of new wood in the waiting box.
?Beeswax 25g
This is purified wax obtained by melting down honeycomb after honey has been harvested. It is said to be effective when melted and applied to the underside of the top board, the bottom board, etc., and most people aiming for Japanese honeybee colonization use it. As it is a natural product, there may be variations in color.
?Honeycomb Debris 20g
After extracting honey and beeswax, impurities, larvae, and pupal remains are left behind. This debris has been sun-dried to prevent mold. Boiling this will produce the honeycomb debris liquid, which can be used as an attractant. Placing a handful of this on the bottom board of the waiting box is also said to be effective.
However, please be aware that even with thorough preparation, the colonization rate is said to be 10-20% for beginners and around 30% for experienced beekeepers.
Nevertheless, as experienced beekeepers know, the joy of successful colonization is exceptional. It is a deeply moving experience that is hard to replicate. We sincerely wish for the success of all our customers.
We strive to ship orders within 2 business days of application, but please forgive us if there are delays due to unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of the estimated shipping date and immediately after shipping.
