The top surface is polished to a high shine, and the four corners are cut with an R-curve. The top and bottom edges are chamfered to prevent injury. The shine is achieved through polishing, not coating, so you can use it with confidence as a rolling board.
Natural marble has high thermal conductivity and low specific heat capacity, making it cool to the touch. This helps to suppress the temperature rise of dough, preventing it from becoming sticky. It is very useful for kneading pizza, bread, pie, and pastry dough, as well as for chocolate confectionery work.

Thanks to this board, it's been a great success as both a bread kneading board and a work surface. The attached images (12 and 13) show me making bread dough and stollen. It has a good weight, and the surface of the board doesn't easily stick to the dough. Compared to using a cutting board or a kneading sheet before, it makes working much easier!
