This is a wooden-handled strainer used for scooping up noodles like soba and udon.
It is used when boiling noodles such as soba and udon.
It consists of a wooden handle and a metal (stainless steel) mesh part.
● Approximately 59cm in total length
Used by my father for making handmade soba.
It allowed him to efficiently scoop up soba boiled in a large stockpot. It shows some signs of use but is still in working condition.
The scooping basket part is a bowl type, not the common plate type, allowing you to scoop a large amount.
I searched to find the purchase price but could not find the same type.
