This is a top-tier stone. I am selling it to acquire more top-tier stones.
This is a Nakayama Mizuasagi. As expected of Mizuasagi, it is hard, but I believe it is on the softer side for a Mizuasagi.
The stone does not have any chips, but I don't think even the most dedicated sharpener would reach the middle. However, there is a crack in the middle, so I am selling it at a lower price...
Among the natural whetstones I currently own and have handled, Nakayama Mizuasagi truly offers the sharpest edge.
It has a very aggressive sharpness, so to speak. It takes some getting used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, you can quickly produce very dark slurry.
It is also a large size. Thank you for your consideration.
