【Showa Era】Beautiful Condition Retro 1960s Science Education Thermometer 【Antique】

Thank you for looking.

These were found while organizing my home.
These are two rod-shaped glass thermometers in cases.
The lengths are 30cm and 29.5cm.
They can measure up to 100 degrees Celsius. They are in beautiful condition with no scratches or dirt.

I used ChatGPT to research the era.

These thermometers are alcohol-based glass rod thermometers from the Showa 30s-40s (around 1955-1969) and were used as science education materials.

● The color of the liquid column is red.
? Red liquid column = Alcohol thermometer
? Mercury thermometers have a silver liquid column.

● C marking at the top.
?This stands for Celsius.
?Until the mid-Showa period, many educational materials were engraved with just C instead of ℃.
?They were particularly common for science rooms, technical high schools, and vocational schools.

● NIKKEI engraving + red case.
?This is a standard design from the Nikkei Keisoku manufacturer.
?From the late Showa period (after the 50s), model numbers, lot numbers, and ℃ markings became more common.

There is no interruption in the liquid column (no air mixed in). The condition is extremely good, but as they have been stored at home, please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection or are sensitive.

No price reductions.
This is for those who like Showa retro, collectors, or anyone interested. Thank you.
