It absorbs moisture when the surrounding humidity is high and releases it when the humidity is low.

Approximately 7 times the moisture absorption of cotton, and about 2 times the moisture absorption of silica gel (Type B).
2. Water Absorption
Absorbs 80 times its weight in water due to its large surface area, and does not easily release moisture even under pressure.
