My mother had a urinary catheter, and since the catheter was in the way, I used this band to secure it to her thigh.
By bringing the catheter down from the side of the groin instead of up towards the navel and securing it with this band, urine flow becomes smoother, and chafing from the catheter can be reduced by securing it with the band.
This product was very useful during home care, but since my mother moved into a facility, it is no longer needed.
