Designed based on a hunting jacket. Previously, we created items based on workwear that had a relaxed feel from aging, but this time we wanted to add a touch of formality. To achieve this, we've made the shoulder width narrower than usual so it fits snugly, and raised the sleeve head to give it a sharp, upright impression despite being workwear.

However, the details are reminiscent of work jackets, with plenty of pockets, including a game pocket on the back for a lively look.

Additionally, work clothes at German ironworks at the time were often patched together.

One of these garments had a waist pocket that appeared to have been replaced, which became the inspiration for the waist pocket on this item.

The pocket is designed to look as if it continues from the back, and also serves as a vent.

The fabric is a material that recreates the classic French workwear fabric, heathered black chambray, with a different approach than the original. The warp yarn is a heathered yarn made by twisting a natural-colored yarn of Black Land Hemp with a gray marled, frosted appearance and a cotton yarn dyed to a sun-baked ink black. The uneven yarn structure of hemp and the faded color create a natural heathered effect. The weft yarn uses a hollow spun yarn that is nearly untwisted in the center and a textured yarn with varying counts twisted together to express the rough texture of a time when spinning technology was less advanced.
A washer finish is applied to cause the four types of yarn, with their different compositions and counts, to shrink at their respective rates, creating a rugged, uneven surface texture.
