This was purchased along with a donabe. I'm not sure what kind of wood it's made from. Perhaps zelkova? It has a solid feel. It can still be used. It has a hole, making it convenient for scooping out just the contents. The size is 8 cm for the ladle part and 19 cm for the handle.
