High temperature and humidity are the enemies! For optimal freshness, freeze your dried sweet potatoes. If you cannot finish them on the day of opening, please be sure to freeze them.
* When frozen, they will last longer than the expiration date (approximately 5 months).
◎ These are sold as imperfect items because they may include pieces that are misshapen, whitish, hard, or stringy.
Also, any blackish discoloration on the surface of the dried sweet potato is not mold or spoilage, but rather due to the pigment components (polyphenol components) found in the parts closer to the skin of the sweet potato.

Color variations may occur due to sun exposure time of the sweet potato, but there is no problem with the quality.
Dried sweet potatoes become softer and easier to eat when heated.
