Purchased at Selfridges department store in London.
It came in a bag, and although it has been stored for 20 years, there is some tarnish from long-term storage, which can be removed with polishing.
In 2006, it cost ￡24 (approximately ￥5,000 today) per piece, making the total including tax ￡30.
The inscription ENG after Sheffield, indicating the United Kingdom, is very rare; most items are only marked Sheffield, making this a unique piece. Additionally, the A1 grade inscription is also uncommon. Given that earlier items were marked GB and later UK, this item may have been made for export about 40 years ago.
When I tried to purchase more of these rare items, a store employee mentioned, These are leftovers from the manufacturer's warehouse that we've put out because they are unusual.
I purchased five of them.
Due to its high-quality A1 grade silver plating, this item is durable enough to last 20-30 years with daily use.
