Gear Puller

This item was found while organizing my grandfather's workshop.
Based on an image search, it appears to be a gear puller, but I don't know how to use it, so I'm offering it to someone who can.
As it is an old item, it has overall dirt, scratches, rust, etc., and it is unclear if it is usable in its current condition.
I would be happy to pass it on to someone who can repair or maintain it, or who can utilize it for another purpose.
