These funeral envelopes are for Buddhist ceremonies after the 49th day.
They can also be used for annual Buddhist events such as Obon and Higan. Both 御佛前 and 御仏前 are read as Gobutsuzen and have the same meaning. The only difference is that 佛 is the old character and 仏 is the new character, so either can be used.
These items are new and unused, but have been stored at home, so please only purchase if you understand that they are used goods.
