Sowing
Best season for sowing Echinacea:
March - May
September - October

Note)
? When grown from seed, there will be individual differences in petal coloration.
The color may differ from the photo of my Green Twister.

Cover the seeds lightly with soil so they are just hidden. Once the seedlings have developed 5 or more true leaves and are growing strongly, transplant them into your garden or pots.

Echinacea seeds
Only seeds from limited varieties
will produce the same flower.

Double-flowered Echinacea seeds are often from highly cultivated varieties.
They may revert to their ancestral form, producing single flowers with completely different colors and shapes.
For double-flowered Echinacea, it is safer to purchase seedlings that have been divided from established plants.
We do not recommend purchasing seeds for double-flowered Echinacea.
Green Twister is a variety that can be grown from seed.
