Even for cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, many customers have told us how different the hardness and chewability are compared to other products ?

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Zelkova (left): approx. 11.1 x 1.9-2.1 cm

Pear (right): approx. 14.6 x 2.0-2.2 cm
Approx. 2.3-2.4 cm including small branches

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping stage, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can barely hold in their mouths will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark was peeled off one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise them while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your pet has fruit allergies.
