For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Unlike other products, these toys are not hollowed out, peeled, or shaved, so many customers have told us how much they appreciate the difference in hardness and how much their pets engage with them!

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova, approx. 14.8 x 1.1-1.2 cm
Including small branches, approx. 1.3 x 1.3 cm
Right: Pear, approx. 19.1 x 1.2-1.5 cm

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current plush toys or balls.
For pets in the teething stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely hold in their mouths will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches grown in Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since they are made of wood, your pet's teeth will not be damaged. If you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please supervise your pet while they play.
