Even for cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, many customers have told us how much they appreciate the difference in hardness and how much their pets engage with our toys compared to others ?

We have made this a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely hold onto will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, although we use a chainsaw for cutting and a belt sander (file) for the small branches, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your pet while they play.
