This is a Nagasaki-grown gum tree handle made from the core wood. Gum wood is known for its excellent flexibility, strength, and ability to absorb vibrations, making it highly suitable for tool handles.
Unlike handles made from the outer wood of commercially milled trees like oak, ebony, or cherry, or those made of iron, a handle made from a single piece of core wood is exceptionally strong, resilient, and flexible. It reduces shock to the hands and arms, thereby decreasing fatigue.

Natural gum tree logs are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
We carefully select pieces with minimal knots, so please take this opportunity to try our product.

We apply camellia oil to prevent cracking due to drying.
