ーTHE HEAVYMANNERSー
Formed around 2001 by Takeshi Akimoto, formerly of DRY&HEAVY and now of REBEL FAMILIA. The following year, they performed on the White Stage at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL with Shing02. After five years of preparation, they released their album THE HEAVYMANNERS from Victor Entertainment. In addition to the original four members - keyboardist KAZUHIRO SAHARA and guitarist SUMIHIRO OOISHI - the first album features the unit SLY&HEAVY, a session with Sly Dunbar (Sly & Robbie), as well as numerous musicians from Japan and abroad, including Noel Scully Sims, Ansel Collins, Yellowman, GOTH-TRAD, Linval Thompson, Shingo02, and KILLER-BONG (THINK TANK). On October 17, 2008, a live performance with Shing02, their first in six years, was held at Liquidroom.
