By significantly altering the hardness at key positions, the rod offers two distinct hooking butt positions: a tip-action when using light weights and a body-action when using heavy weights. This provides unprecedented versatility, sensitivity to bites, and hooking power. The Tora-Ga features a special tapered design that captures the subtle bites of young fish, which the Fuga could not fully express, ensures reliable hooking without missed strikes, and translates the weight of the wakasagi (smelt) into a tangible vibration from the tip to the reel, creating a definite hand-feel.
