Description
This is a Japanese fishing rod (ayu rod) that my father used about 70 years ago. He belonged to the fishing club of his company, Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation, and it seems he purchased it at Sansui Fishing Tackle in Shibuya. Since I'm unsure of its condition, I had it appraised recently at the main store of Tosaku Fishing Tackle in Ueno, and they said it is still perfectly usable. I don't believe there are any noticeable scratches or stains. It has been waxed. Please note that the tip line is detached, so please reattach it before use. Also, one section of the handle is missing, making it a 5-piece rod. Thank you for your understanding. It would also make a great addition to a collection. Total length approximately 560 cm, closed length 128 cm, 5 pieces, 2 sections.
