This rod was passed down from a retired master Ayu fisherman.
I do not fish for Ayu myself, so I am listing it with their permission.
This is a top-tier Gamakatsu model with an original price of ¥118,500.
Made with high-grade high-carbon material, it boasts an excellent balance of suppleness and stiffness.
It's a highly refined rod, typical of Gamakatsu, with great lightness and operability, making it easy to handle even during long fishing trips.
As this model is difficult to obtain now,
it is recommended not only for actual fishing but also as a collectible old rod.
Gamakatsu Ayu rods of this class rarely come up at this price.
