This is a gift from the family of a deceased acquaintance.
It is a 18.1-foot, 8-section Kuchimaki rod made by Amada, a master craftsman in the Edo Wasan (traditional Japanese fishing rod) world. Upon inspection for this listing, a shallow scratch-like mark was found on the lower part of the玉口 (tamaguchi - the mouth of the rod tip section) of the main upper rod, but it is believed to have been there originally. (See the last image). Other than that, there are some minor scuffs. There are no cracks or chips. The fit is good.
