This is a shakuhachi that was used by the master Takahashi Chikuzan, a leading figure in Tsugaru shamisen who popularized the instrument. It is said that he also played the shakuhachi.
A relative of ours was learning Chikuzan-ryu Tsugaru Shamisen and was miraculously given this shakuhachi at that time. It is an old item.

The Chikuzan seal is inscribed in gold lettering.

We wish to pass this on to someone who understands its value and will cherish it.

It is ready to be played immediately.
