Biwa (Japanese lute) with Bachi (plectrum) - Japanese Musical Instrument

This is a traditional Japanese musical instrument, a Biwa.

It was found at my grandmother's house.
It comes with three Bachi (plectrums).
One of them has a weight embedded and characters carved into it.
