EMPIRE 4000D/I MI Cartridge with Headshell.

I am gradually listing items from my long-time collection as I organize it.

This is the entry-level model of the Empire 4000D series. At the time, it was a high-end cartridge that was second to none compared to the SHURE V15 series. Its sound, which is clear, crisp, and has a solid core, truly embodies the American sound.
Vocals, in particular, are easy to listen to.

I previously sold off a 4000D/III and a unit with a broken stylus, but I found one that I had kept in storage, so I will be offering it to anyone who wants it. The body has some dullness, but no major scratches, and is generally in good condition for its age.
The stylus is genuine and in good condition.

I used this cartridge for comparison with the 4000D/III. When I attached it to a Technics headshell for testing before selling the 4000D/I, there were no issues. I believe the sound is slightly softer than the 4000D/III.

This is an old item from the late 1970s, but I have used it with care, and I hope it will be passed on to someone who will continue to use it.
