Kenwood DP-7090 CD Player (Junk)

There may be minor scratches, but I believe it is in good condition. The power turns on and the tray opens and closes without issue. However, there are times when it does not read the CD when inserted. If you open and close the tray a few times, it will read. There was no scratching noise. This is being sold as junk. The remote control is a different model number, but it can be used. As this is junk, please no claims or returns. How about for modification purposes?
There was no skipping. When I tested 11 CDs I had, 10 were read without problems. For one CD, it showed no disc, but after reinserting it, it was read. It seems to work well sometimes and not so well at other times. For your reference.
