As it is an early model transitioning from vacuum tubes to transistors, you can enjoy the rich, classic McIntosh sound reminiscent of vacuum tubes.
It produces a wonderfully superb sound when paired with McIntosh vacuum tube power amplifiers.
The raw, vintage-rich sound is captivating. This is the second transistor preamplifier.
I believe it possesses a unique character not found in other McIntosh preamplifiers.
