Caught April 13, 2026. Frozen Firefly Squid from Toyama Prefecture. 400g x 11 bags = 4.4kg

Caught fresh and lively Toyama Prefecture firefly squid, captured in the late night/early morning of April 13, 2026!

(Since the morning paper was off today, I took a photo with the clock. We caught a total of 40L.)

We scooped them up from deep water, so they are free of sand. (However, they may contain marine debris such as wood chips, seaweed, small fish, or other similar squid.)

I caught these to eat at home. Since I have more than enough to share with relatives, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues, I'm selling them on Mercari.

Due to Mercari's rules prohibiting the sale of raw food for consumption, I am unfortunately selling them as frozen fishing bait! (It's a shame, as they are truly meant for human consumption. 😭) But if you catch a big fish with them as bait, you'll be like a straw-millionaire! lol

They are portioned into approximately 400g-420g bags and placed in M-sized Ziploc bags.

They are frozen flat for easy storage in the freezer and thawing.

The total weight will be under 5kg, so we will ship via Kuroneko Yamato Cool便 (cool delivery service) size 80. To ensure the total weight including the cardboard box and packing materials is under 5kg, we are selling approximately 4.4kg of actual product.

Since Mercari shipping does not support cool delivery, please understand that we will be shipping via Kuroneko Yamato Cool Takkyubin (cash on delivery).

The cash on delivery fee will vary depending on your region, so please refer to the images. The shipping fee will be the sum of the delivery fee + cool delivery fee!
