Vintage Handmade Ceramic Teapot Berry Green Spongeware Folk Art Pottery 8"
Handmade
Charming vintage handmade ceramic teapot featuring a hand-painted berry and vine motif with rustic dark green sponge-painted accents. The teapot has a warm creamy ivory speckled glaze with deep burgundy-red berries and delicate green leaves. Dark green spongework accents the scalloped lid, handle, spout and base, giving it a wonderful primitive country / folk art pottery appearance. The body features molded and embossed detailing that adds texture and dimension, while the scalloped lid and softly aged finish give the piece plenty of vintage character. The underside bears what appears to be a handwritten artist or potter's mark/initials, further suggesting this was a studio or handmade pottery piece rather than mass-produced dinnerware. Maker is unknown. A beautiful piece for a cottagecore kitchen, English country-inspired home, farmhouse hutch, tea collection or vintage pottery display. Approximate Measurements: about 8 tall including lid and approximately 10 from handle to tip of spout. Please refer to the measurement photos for additional dimensions. Condition Very good vintage condition with no obvious chips or cracks visible in the photos. The irregularities in the green edging and glaze appear consistent with its hand-painted, handmade character rather than damage. There may be minor surface wear, glaze variations and imperfections associated with age and handcrafted pottery. Please review all photos closely, particularly the spout, handle, lid and base.
