I purchased this new for eging, but since it was a spare, I kept it stored in my tackle box without ever using it.
The stopper rubber at the tip has stretched out due to deterioration, so I have cut it off. However, by hooking the included carabiner to your belt or life jacket, the tip will point upwards, preventing it from popping out, and it will have almost no impact on usability.
