Vintage Italy M Pelino Sulmona ARG 1000 Silverplate Confetti Bonbon Dish 4.5"

Charming vintage Italian miniature silver-plated dish from Confetti M. Pelino of Sulmona, Italy. This petite oval dish features an ornate raised floral and laurel-style border with decorative openwork handles and a smooth silver-tone center. The underside retains its original “Confetti M. Pelino Sulmona” label and is stamped “ARG 1000.” ARG 1000 is associated with Italian silver-plated wares and should not be confused with a solid silver fineness mark. Sulmona is well known for its traditional Italian confetti, or sugar-coated almonds, making this little dish especially appropriate as a confetti, bonbon, candy or favor dish. It would also make a beautiful small jewelry or trinket tray. Measures approximately 4 1/2 inches long × 2 1/2 inches wide × .3 inches high. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible patina/tarnish, dark spotting, surface scratches and other age-related wear. Has a slight sticky residue on the inner part as well. Original M. Pelino label remains attached to the underside. Please review photos closely for condition and markings.
