Inlaid Marble Coasters Mother-of-Pearl and Semi Precious Gemstone Floral Design

Beautiful set of four Agra / Taj Mahal / Makrana Marble Inlay Coasters in excellent condition. No chips.   Genuine stone inlay, referred to as pietra dura - in India called Parchin Kari / Pachchikari - the same white marble inlay technique used on the Taj Mahal. These coasters are still made by hand by artisans in Agra, India — the historic city of the Taj Mahal.  Colors: • Bright green with dark banding: Malachite  • Deep blue: Lapis Lazuli  • Light blue-green: Turquoise  • Orange I amber center: Carnelian •Iridescent brown / grey / pearly petals and that big leaf: Mother of Pearl and Paua shell - abalone shell  • Reddish-brown stems: Usually jasper or tinted shell  Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth only - the stones are thin and the mother-of-pearl can lift if soaked.
