Hess Toy Truck and Tractor in Original Box Tracked Loader Lights Sounds

A Hess Toy Truck and Tractor set, complete in the original printed box with the white foam insert holding both pieces. The tractor unit is the green and white Hess livery with a flatbed carrying the second vehicle, and the tracked loader sits alongside with its bucket and digger arm. The box end panel lists the features as supplied: Energizer batteries included, real head and tail lights with flashers, multiple sound features, and a motorized tracked loader with lights, a mechanical bucket and a digger arm. Hess has released one toy vehicle a year since 1964, sold only at Hess stations and only in the weeks before Christmas, which is the entire reason a mass produced plastic truck holds value at all. The company treated them as a promotion rather than a product line, priced them low, and never restocked after the season ended, so supply for any given year is fixed permanently on the day the stations sell out. Collectors grade almost entirely on the box and the insert, because the trucks themselves survive well and the packaging does not. Condition is very good. Both vehicles are present and clean with no cracks, missing parts or paint loss found, and the foam insert is intact. The electronics and lights are sold untested. The box is bright with light shelf wear along the edges and corners. No rule measurement was supplied for this item.
