◆How to Use the Sakurajima Yakiniku Lava Plate

1. Wipe the surface of the plate with a damp cloth.
*Do not wash the plate. (Especially not the first time.)
2. Place the plate on a gas stove.
*Ensure it does not cover the top of the gas canister. The heat can warm the canister.
3. Slowly warm the plate over low heat.
*Heat slowly. Rapid heating may cause the plate to crack.
4. Once the plate is warm, lightly coat it with oil.
*Failure to oil may cause food to stick and burn.
5. Grill the food.
   *Ingredients with sauces will burn.
*Cook over low heat or turn off the heat periodically (as the plate retains heat well).
*Wipe away excess oil with paper towels while cooking.

◆How to Care for the Sakurajima Yakiniku Lava Plate

*After use, the plate will be hot. Please let it cool before washing.

1. After the plate has completely cooled, wipe the cooking surface with a damp cloth.
*What if I wash it with water or hot water...? *Washing with water is not recommended.
Washing while hot can cause the plate to crack.

2. Dry completely.
*Ensure the inside of the plate is also dry, not just the surface.
Using the plate while damp can cause it to crack.
*Lean the plate against something to allow for good air circulation and dry for at least one week.

・Chipped corners or edges of the plate are not considered defects.
