◆ This is an authentic item made by Shima (with a brand mark), a bamboo fish basket used for Ayu fishing, passed down in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture.

◆ Made entirely from natural bamboo and carefully woven by hand by artisans, it has a warm feel and presence.

★ Although originally fishing gear, it can also be used as a folk craft, for Japanese modern interiors, or as a display for old houses and shops.
