Description
This is a SINGER electric sewing machine, model MERRITT ECHO-70.
The top of the machine displays 10 types of standard stitches (1-10) and 3 types of buttonhole stitches (A-C).
1-5: Straight stitch (with different needle positions and lengths).
6-8: Zigzag stitch (used for finishing fabric edges and decorative purposes).
9-10: Special stitches (such as blind stitch).
A-C: Buttonhole stitch. Creates buttonholes using a dedicated presser foot.
Dial on the upper left: Thread tension dial. The standard setting is 3-5, but adjust according to the fabric type.
Large dial on the right: Pattern selection dial. Turn this to align with the number or letter of the desired stitch pattern.
Lever on the lower right: Speed control lever. Switches between HI (fast), LOW (slow), and OFF (power off).
START/STOP button: Allows you to start and stop sewing using the button instead of the foot controller (foot pedal).
