This is a round Igawa Menpa bento box, a traditional craft from Shizuoka. Each piece is handmade and very rare. Made by Ryushuu Mochizuki, the fifth generation craftsman.
This item was made by the predecessor of Eiichi Mochizuki, who is said to be the only remaining craftsman today.

Igawa Menpa is characterized by the beauty and luster of its natural lacquer and its durability that can withstand long-term use. I was told that even if it ages, it can be used for many years by reapplying the lacquer.
Magewappa is very popular.
Includes an inner divider.
