Union Sample Roaster / Manual Roaster

Union Hand-Crank Coffee Roaster.
Used for about 3 years for test roasting and casual roasting, but has not been used for the past few years, so I am listing it for sale.
It has been modified with holes drilled (explained below), but there are no other distortions or defects, and it can be used as a functional item structurally.

Recommended roasting capacity per batch: 400-600g of green beans.
Can roast from about 250g.
For roasting 500g or more, a high-heat stove is recommended.
*Stove is not included.

The trivet is made of cast iron and is heavy (approx. 5kg including the drum).

[Product Condition / Important Notes]
① Holes drilled in the top of the drum
→ I drilled holes to increase airflow because I was concerned about the steamy smell of beans, which is characteristic of hand-crank roasters. However, it did not make a significant difference (it was a modification with little meaning, not affecting the roasting either way).
*There are no holes in areas that come into contact with flames.

② Handle is secured with original screws.
→ Many people replace the bottom screw of the handle with a different one because it loosens with rotation when using the original screw. However, I used the original screw and adjusted my grip. Please understand that the tendency to loosen is not a defect.
I think it would be more comfortable for beginners to buy and use a wingnut of the same diameter at a home improvement store.

③ Sieve is missing.
The sieve for emptying roasted beans, which was originally included, is missing.
The trivet, loading hopper, sample spoon, and instruction manual are included.
A stove was not originally included with the Union roaster.

[Important Notes Regarding Transactions]
It has a simple structure and is not an electrical appliance, so it can be used as is without any problems. However, it is a used item.
Please ensure you fully understand the modifications before purchasing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to comment.

I generally do not respond to price negotiation requests.
(As it has just been listed, the price will remain the same until the end of May 2026.)
