This is a dancing fan with a vibrant, hand-painted peony pattern on both sides against a silver background.
It was custom-made for dancing the Ishibashi (Stone Bridge) dance in a courtesan costume, but it remains unused due to unforeseen circumstances.
The pattern is the same on both sides.
The decorative tassel has a substantial feel.
