The rectangular box stands on four decorative curved feet and features gold-tone finishes and elaborate applied trim. The lid is topped with a vintage ballet scene showing a ballerina dancing beside a grand piano. Inside is a vivid red velvet-lined compartment with a divided section for jewelry, keepsakes or small treasures. The original labels remain on the underside and identify the piece as:  L.
