Bitossi Italian Art‎ Pottery Crackle Glaze Vase Polka Dot Mid Century

Mid-century Bitossi Italian art pottery vase featuring a white crackle glaze over a dark body with colorful dot decoration. A striking example of postwar Italian ceramic design with strong decorative appeal. Signed on the base.  Good vintage condition. No cracks or repairs observed. There are a few small glaze flakes and areas of wear along the rim, as shown in the photos, along with typical production and firing irregularities consistent with handmade Italian pottery. Displays very well.  This authentic vintage piece features a textured fat lava style crackle glaze in white and black, accented by vibrant hand-painted polka dots in orange, green, and yellow. The tapered teardrop shape is a classic of the period, and the underside is hand-marked with Italy and the model number R 21/12.
