J.B. Owens Art Pottery Brown Amber Glaze Vase Antique Arts & Crafts

I picked up this small J.B. Owens art pottery vase because of the wonderful glaze and unusual shape. The glossy dark brown has amber and golden areas that really come alive in the light, and the glaze looks different as you turn the piece. I especially like the rounded body with the narrow neck and little pedestal foot. It measures approximately 4.5 tall x 3.5 in diameter and is a great size for displaying with other early American art pottery. The vase has a bulbous rounded body, narrow neck with a slightly flared rim, and raised circular foot. The glossy glaze ranges from very dark brown to warmer amber and golden brown areas, giving the surface plenty of depth and variation. Nice antique condition with expected age-related surface and glaze variation. Displays beautifully. Please see all photos for the best representation of condition.
