It is a brand of Edo Kimekomi Dolls and Edo Sekku Dolls, handled by Matsuzaki Dolls Co., Ltd. (Adachi-ku, Tokyo), founded in 1921, characterized by its modern and adorable expressions.
☆What is Ichimatsu Doll…
In the past, when it was not easy for children to grow up safely, dolls were originally used as substitutes.
Times have changed, and with the appearance of the beautiful kabuki actor Sanogawa Ichimatsu, the doll is not only a substitute but also carries a wish for the child to grow up beautifully, and is displayed with Hina Dolls or during celebrations.
