Up for sale is a beautiful vintage mid-century Japanese Moriage redware teapot, styled after the classic Brown Betty design. This gorgeous collectible features a deep, glossy chocolate brown glaze adorned with delicate hand-painted floral motifs and geometric gold gilt trim accents. The traditional Moriage technique is showcased beautifully via textured, raised enamel slip work in vibrant turquoise blue, white, and orange tones.  The underside features a highly collectible mid-century gold export guild backstamp (featuring a crossed-line emblem inside a circle) alongside a crisp, incised JAPAN mark on the natural red clay base.  Condition:  The teapot and lid are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The interior is clean, and the handle and spout are fully intact. There is very minor, honest age-appropriate wear to the gold gilt accents along the rims as shown in the photos.
