Vintage 1937 Advertising Metal Match Holder Wall Mount Primitive Decor

Fantastic vintage metal wall-mounted match holder with original advertising and loads of authentic patina. 🤎 This one is especially interesting because the side is clearly dated:  “51st Anniversary 1886–1937”  It also lists old telephone exchanges/numbers for St. Edwards, Lindsay, Genoa and Monroe, giving this piece wonderful local advertising and telephone-history appeal.  The back has its original keyhole hanger for mounting near a stove or fireplace. The front compartment was designed to hold a box or supply of kitchen matches.  There is also faint original wording on the front, including “FREE,” and a stamped manufacturing mark on the upper back. I would leave this piece exactly as found rather than trying to restore the finish.
