Below is detailed information about the pedal from the web.

■ Basic Concept

* Amp-like preamp using JFET circuitry
* Not a distortion pedal in the usual sense
* More of an amp-on-your-footswitch type
* Ultra high-gain design specialized for metal and modern genres

■ Controls

Simple yet practical:
* LEVEL: Output volume (can boost up to +10dB)
* GAIN: Amount of distortion (very wide range)
* LOW / MID / HIGH: 3-band EQ

Features
* EQ acts like an amp's EQ (not a light pedal-like correction)
* MID control is crucial (adjusts from Rectifier-like scooped mids to clarity)

■ Sound Design (Internal Specifications)

● JFET Analog Preamp
* Reproduces dynamics and harmonic richness similar to tube amps
* Responds to the guitar's volume knob

● Rectifier Series High-Gain Reproduction
* Tight and heavy lows
* Chunky muted notes
* Sharp highs for cutting leads
Especially for:
* Modern Metal
* Drop Tuning

■ Output / Connection Features
● 2 Outputs
1. DIRECT AMP OUT
* For normal amp input or effects return
2. CAB SIM OUT (with cabinet simulation)
* Direct connection to mixer / audio interface
* Can be used without an amp (amp-less operation)

■ Summary
The R1 is not just a distortion pedal, but
a device that completely recreates the preamp section of a Mesa Rectifier.

Thank you for looking.
Best regards.
