Description
Beautiful antique H. Burgess ironstone covered tureen from Burslem, England. Dates to the late 1800s, around 1864–1892. This is a large piece and would be beautiful displayed on a hutch or cupboard or used for seasonal decorating. Measures about 15” handle to handle, 11” front to back and 9” tall with the lid on. It does have some age-related wear including staining/discoloration, dark speckling and a small hairline on the edge of the lid. I tried to photograph the flaws closely, so please look through all photos for condition. Tureen and lid only. Platter pictured underneath is not included. Marked H. Burgess, Burslem on the bottom.
