Description
This product is a set of three vintage Bybee Pottery/Cornelison Pottery blue bird/wren plates, measuring 8.5 inches in diameter. Made of ceramic in the mid 20th century, these luncheon plates feature a beautiful blue color and a charming bird theme. The specific central motif is Bybee's iconic Bluebird pattern. Hand-stamped or hand-painted in cobalt blue slip against a sandy-beige clay base, it represents one of the brand's most recognizable and highly collectible signature designs. The speckled, slightly irregular glaze texture and distinctive blue spongeware dabs around the rim are classic hallmarks of their rustic, Appalachian production technique. Questions? Please ask! 😊
