Description
Striking mid-century ceramic dish in an oval eye form with small side handles and a shallow bowl interior. The multicolor pour glaze — deep rose, cobalt blue, golden yellow, and warm earth tones — pools naturally across the surface in the fluid, expressive style characteristic of Japanese studio pottery from the 1950s–60s. Terracotta clay body visible on the reverse. No maker's mark; attributed to Japanese studio work based on construction and glaze technique. In excellent vintage condition — no chips, cracks, or crazing. Dimensions: 6.5 across including handles / 4.5 bowl opening / 1.25 tall A beautiful piece for a jewelry or trinket dish, altar, curiosity cabinet, or display. The eye motif makes it as much art object as functional vessel. Stand not included
